Drilling for the right balance between economic gain and environmental damage produced by fracking, the process of fracturing a formation to release gas by using hydraulic pressure, is as daunting and difficult as walking a tight rope across Niagara Falls. Initially as fracking swept into the Barnett Shale there was economic euphoria in the air. As the Trojan horse penetrated further into Fort Worth reports began to surface of fracking air and water pollution in the area newspapers and on environmental blogs
